Doctors House was born not just from a calling—but from lived experience. It was created to provide a safe place for healing, deliverance, and restoration.
Dr. Barbara J. Tyson is more than a minister. She is a clinical mental health provider, a clinical substance abuse and recovery specialist, a certified spiritual coach, and an intercessor with deep roots in faith-based healing. She is inspired by a legacy of freedom from generational bondage—including battles with alcohol, drug addiction, and dysfunctional relationships.

As a mother of seven, Dr. Tyson understands the complex pressures families face—especially under the weight of judgment from those on the outside looking in. She knows the unique pain behind the pressure, and the beauty in the process. Her ministry is not one of perfection—but of purpose, perseverance, and prophetic clarity.
Although she honors the fact that every person’s healing path is unique, her life’s mission is to equip you with the tools to move forward boldly—even in unpredictable times. Much more of her story is shared in her upcoming book and workbook, Behind the Soul.
Dr. Tyson and her beloved late husband, Deacon Lamont Tyson, raised their children and grandchildren with unwavering faith. They were blessed to be guided by Archbishop Leonard Naylor and Overseer Charlene Naylor, founders and pastors of Holyredeemer Cathedral, 44 Prospect St, Springfield, MA. Their leadership mentored and prepared Dr. Tyson for her ministerial duties—and long before public ministry, her family was her first charge.
With years of spiritual leadership and coaching experience, Dr. Barbara J. Tyson has walked with countless individuals through their healing and transformation journeys. Her work is grounded in practical wisdom, prophetic insight, and a deep love for community.
